Everyone has a story to tell. And we at Nautilus Press are dedicated to helping authors share those stories with the rest of the world. Nautilus is an author-services company that publishes a select number of high-quality books that have meaning and importance to today’s readers. We believe in the written word’s power to enlighten, inspire, and entertain; and we combine the best from traditional literary publishing with innovative technologies and methods from outside the industry to create a new paradigm for marketing and selling books.
Headquartered in La Jolla, California, but with global reach, Nautilus Press publishes a small list of carefully-crafted titles each year. Like traditional publishers, we are selective about what we publish. But unlike mainstream publishers, we have eliminated many of the traditional barriers that creators face when trying to bring their work directly to their audience. Our editorial, design, and production colleagues are the best in the business and bring to the table many years of experience with publishing houses such as Houghton Mifflin, Harcourt, Random House, Simon & Schuster, FSG, and Knopf. Our publicity, marketing, and sales colleagues hail from both inside and outside of the book industry and bring fresh perspectives to bookselling with their successful sales experience in other industries.
